Chocolate Covered Treats

Create a double broiler by putting water in pan and then putting a smaller pan inside a bigger pan on high heat. Melt semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips (watch your labels to keep it vegan) in the smaller, top pan.

Prepare what you want to dip: strawberries, raspberries, pretzel rods, pretzels, Oreos, and Pringles all work great. So do blueberries and peanuts if done in clusters.

Dip your choices into the melted chocolate (for longer items like Pringles and pretzel rods, you can hold one end). For smaller items, use a couple spoons to dip, spread, and remove from the chocolate.

Place your now chocolate covered items on wax paper as you go. When you fill up the wax paper, carefully transfer it to your refrigerator to cool (I move my cutting board with the wax paper to the frig and then carefully slide it onto a shelf).

After they have cooled (they don’t melt to your touch), eat some and put the rest in a container and store in the frig.
