Beans
Soak a collection of dried beans (in the image I used adzuki, mung, great northern, and baby lima) overnight.
Sauté a diced onion in a larger pot. When the onion has browned, drain the soaking water from the beans and add to the pot. Add 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup veggie broth. Add salt, cayenne pepper, smoked paprika, and liquid smoke. Cook for 30 minutes or more.
Serve over rice. Once on the plate, drizzle with olive oil and garlic salt.
